Band (Peru)

This is a Band. It is dated possibly 1200–1300 and we acquired it in 1962. Its medium is wool and its technique is double cloth, intercrossing of warps only; warp selvages; tubular woven for weft. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Unknown. It is credited Gift of Anonymous Donor in memory of Alexander M. Bing.
