Her Majesty's Stationery Office (HMSO) has operated under the Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI) since 2006. OPSI is part of the National Archives of the United Kingdom and is responsible for Crown copyright. The office was established in 1786 to coordinate office supplies for government departments, but has overseen publication of materials such as books and pamphlets in connection with museums, galleries, and ministry oversight.
