Ms. Sheila O'Hara
O’Hara was born in Kobe, Japan where her parents were living at the time of her birth, but soon after, moved back to the United States. She began weaving as a child and later enrolled at California College of Arts & Crafts, in Oakland, CA, where she majored in textiles. As a child, her parents had collected many Japanese objects, and these, particularly kimonos, inspired O’Hara’s designs. She has exhibited all over the world and has taught in many different universities and colleges.
