Sash

This is a Sash. It is dated early 20th century and we acquired it in 1969. Its medium is cotton and its technique is warp-faced plain weave patterned by warp ikat; warp ends knotted into a pattern using the overhand knot and hitches. It is a part of the Textiles department.
